Boutique Spotlight: Mio

Located on one of the most fashionable and historic streets in San Francisco, Mio has some of the most unique pieces that you’ll find on the West Coast.

Positioned among stores that offer national brands, this neighborhood gem has held its own for over 28 years. It is the go-to location for any look that has an Asian flair or a European edge.

Since 1986, Miyo, the store’s owner, has gone above and beyond to ensure her retail space is filled with strong looks that are on the cutting edge of fashion. She attends all of the big fashion trade shows around the world, traveling to Berlin, Paris and New York just to find the new “it” brand before anyone else discovers it.  While she has a few brands that have always been present in her store such as Issey Miyake and Rundholz, she is also infamous in her area for dressing clients in the newest styles from around the globe.

Miyo has a knack for finding unique styles unlike any other store around – you can be confident that when you walk into a party, you will not have a “who wore it better” moment with any other guest.

oMio has been a big supporter of P.Taylor from the beginning. Their flowing and elegant styles pair so well with our Kansas City and Sonoma shirts and as well as our more tailored looks seen in the Stonington Shirt. Often times, her clients will leave the store with two pairs of wide leg pants, from various designers, that match up with every color of P.Taylor shirt that the store has to offer. Match their unique Trippen shoes, hand-woven scarves, or Bao Bao bags with this outfit and anyone is able to go out in the City by the bay for any occasion.

Season after season the knowledgeable ladies who staff her store find great ways to pair our colors and styles with all of the cutting edge pieces in the store. It’s nearly impossible to not love your look when you leave her store.

When you’re in San Francisco and looking for a fantastic, fun and friendly shopping destination, Mio on Fillmore Street will surely not disappoint. Between the charm of the street, the beautifully curated displays, and the unique and covetable brands, we can guarantee you will be making many trips back every time you are in the city.
